Kevin Parker is a brilliant individual....I've had a digital copy of Currents for a while but just picked up the vinyl. It's so freaking good.

It’s fantastic. Personally I love eventually, The Less I Know The Better, and most of all Disciples. I bought Currents on iTunes, and have the rest of their music on Spotify premium.

I really love Let it Happen and The Moment, definitely no objections to the others though. Yeah Spotify premium is a good thing

Let it happen is great. Could be a little shorter in my opinion, but nonetheless great. The Moment is also pretty great, actually, do they have anything that isn’t great?

Also, not sure what your views are on the not so legal green stuff, but if you do partake, I highly recommend listening to them after consuming. haha

Damn. Lucky you dude. I'm going on a trip to Colorado over spring break, so I guess I'll be able to enjoy it without being a criminal. Haha

LP60! I love mine.

Honestly haven’t listened to the new Tame impala album much. But I’ve got plenty of stuff in my collection keeping me busy.

It's such a solid turntable, I'm really enjoying it. I definitely recommend it, but I fully relate to many other albums going on

In reviews and stuff people shit on it constantly, but it's been totally solid. Much cheaper than a Crosley and it doesn't destroy your records and actually sounds good. I got the usb model for $94 back when Amazon had a good deal on it.

Nice deal! People don’t like it? I’veoinly seen a couple reviews saying its a really good starter turntable, that’s why my girlfriend bought it. I can see wanting to be able to replace the cartridge, but other than that I don’t have any complaints.

It’s just the audiophile people being like “it’s not $500 and it doesn’t have an orphan blood dipped stylus...”

I’m an audio engineer and hella picky, and I’ve been fully impressed with mine. Obviously a pro-ject Carbon or something would be better, but this is 1/6th the price. It’s an incredible first turntable. I’ve convinced several people to buy this over a Crosley, and once they heard it they fully understood why.

Hahah none of my system is $500 and dipped in orphan blood, but I think it sounds pretty brilliant. What’s your take on audiophile power cables and speaker cables? A friend with too much money spent several hundred dollars on some of those that are in the thousands new.....he says they make a big difference, but it seems snake-oily to me.

Good quality cables will make a difference. However, you can get 99.99% of the way there with good cables from Monoprice.

It makes a difference on analog signals, but snakeoil claims are rarely valid. Just make sure you’re using good quality stuff. It doesn’t have to be crazy expensive. Unless you have obscenely high end gear, the equipment will still be the weak point with any decent quality cables.

Oh well he may be on to something, he has rather high end stuff, I mean his main amp is an Arcam, running PSB Stratus Golds...

It’s a bit of both. In blind testing, a metal coathanger sounds just as good as high end speaker cables.

Make sure you have clean power, keep your records clean, and do plenty of research before buying anything. I’ll eventually get into the audiophile stuff, but I have too many instruments and studio gear to waste money on in the meantime...
